MBH Client Feature: Cathy Goehler

We’re pleased to introduce one of our very favorite clients, Cathy! We’ve known Cathy and her beautiful daughter for quite awhile, but she just became an MBH client last year when she moved to Madison. And we couldn’t be happier! Cathy is the epitome of classic beauty, grace and style. Not a bad combination!

Meet Cathy:

What brought you to Midwest Beauty House?

“I met Alice through my daughter. I liked her flair for fashion and hair, so when I moved to Madison I was happy to come to Midwest Beauty House as a client.”

How long have you been seeing your Beauty Operator?

“Denise has been coloring and styling my hair for just over a year now. She is magic! (well – and a ton of skill too!)”

What is your favorite MBH beauty shop memory?

“Seeing the initial photos for the opening of MBH. The pictures captured a classic look with a bit of fun and sass sprinkled in. It made me want to get my hair done here.”

What do you love most about your hair?

“I love that my hair is healthy and strong. It looks fresh right up to the next appointment.”

What is your current style icon/inspiration or favorite role model?

“My daughter is my style guru- from the little things, like skincare, the right shade of lipstick and what looks good on me. But most importantly, she inspires me to be my best self, – she has shown me what strong and brave really looks like. She is my heart’s compass.”

What is your favorite or most used beauty product?

“That is a draw between mascara and lipstick. I don’t leave home without wearing both.  And sunscreen – everyday!”

What do you love most about Madison/the Midwest?

“I love exploring the State Parks and other hidden treasures around the Madison area with my husband. So cool how one can be ‘in the city” yet feel far away from the bustle of people and traffic.”

What is another favorite local business of yours?

Gail Ambrosius Chocolatier (salted caramels are my favorite. Actually – I haven’t met one of her chocolates that I don’t adore). Broadway Tire and Auto on Pennsylvania. Tim takes care of my car – quickly and with outstanding service. Green Owl for their coconut cream pie – don’t judge – I have a sweet tooth.”

Why is receiving beauty services important to you?

“Two reasons – self care and it fuels my confidence.”

What does “better beauty culture” mean to you?

“Taking care of oneself from the inside to the outside. Caring for the body that houses the soul. And if we can have great hair and fun with make-up, all the better!”
