Meet Patrick, one of our favorite clients here at Midwest Beauty House. By day, he’s a chef and restaurateur. By night, he’s a chef and restaurateur. In his line of work, there’s really no start or finish to the day. So when Patrick is in Alice’s chair, it’s his time to sit back, relax, and take a break from the hustle and bustle of running a small business. It’s always a joy to have Patrick visit MBH and we love the trust he puts in us to always make him look his best.
What brought you to Midwest Beauty House as a client?
I’ve been in a long term, committed hair relationship with Alice for about six years.
What is your favorite MBH beauty shop memory?
My favorite memory is following Alice from Cha Cha to Union and ultimately seeing the dream come true of opening her own business. And also discussing the HBO competitive tickling documentary.
What is your current style icon/inspiration or favorite role model?
My style icons and inspiration run toward Elvis and Morrissey, but I’m currently growing my hair out under Alice’s care, so who knows what the future will bring.
What is your favorite or most used beauty product
What do you love most about Madison/the Midwest?
I put down roots here over 20 years ago and as a chef I love the availability of all the great local produce, dairy, and meat I have access to.
What is another favorite local business of yours?
I recently ate at La Kitchenette on Willy street and I found it to be a really charming little spot.
Why is receiving beauty services important to you?
I spend all day, every day working to provide great experiences for the guests at my restaurants; getting my haircut regularly allows me to slow down and enjoy a bit of me time.
What does Better Beauty Culture mean to you?
Better Beauty Culture, to me, means that even an aging chef who’s quickly going gray can still have a bit of style!
